If you see the following error message when trying to use the NES health App on your phone:
"Device not authorized to use BluetoothLE - Location Permission missing (code 3)"
Please try the following:
- Go into settings and see if there are any updates to Android and proceed if there are
- Reinstall the NES Health app
- Go into settings > apps > NES Health > Permissions, see if any location/Bluetooth permissions are currently 'Not allowed' -- allow these
- Ensure Bluetooth and location services are turned on (the location is used to find nearby devices i.e. the scanner)
- Do not connect the phone's Bluetooth to the scanner as this needs to be done directly in the app (if/when possible)
- Restart the phone after trying the above
As a reminder, unlike most Bluetooth devices, the pairing happens inside the app, not in the settings screen but Bluetooth does need to be turned on.
